Construction company in Washington, DC is looking for an Assistant Superintendent who oversees day-to-day field operations to join our team.
Responsibilities includes ensuring quality work, timely and cost-effective completion, and a safe and orderly work environment.
The position involves:
* Support the Project Superintendent to help organize all construction activity.
* Must be able to read, interpret blueprint, drawings.
* Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Coordinate work and supervise multiple trades.
* Manage project schedules and conduct inspections for commercial and residential jobs.
* Proactively identify and strategically solve problems with minimal executive oversight.
* Help oversee the team members, including subcontractors.
* Maintain compliance with construction codes, and safety and government regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent
* Ensure that all safety standards are observed at all times, including OSHA, and other applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and standards.
* Able to work and communicate clearly and effectively with a team including inspectors, clients, etc.
Requirements:
* Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to maintain satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
* Minimum 3 years of construction management experience in a field role.
* OSHA 30 preferred, not required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
