My neighbor (the original owner) gave this to me as I wanted the LQ4 motor for my old 5.3 1500. It was used for his plumbing service. I decided to get an earlier drive by cable lq4 someone has already pulled.
Has sat for 8 years in his driveway since the transmission stopped shifting right (4l80e). My neighbor couldn't find the title but I do have a registration card with the vin and his name as the registered owner, plus you can knock on his door and bug him to find it if you don't want to go through the hassle of getting a new one. It is not stolen, on lien or in any way compromised in regards to legality.
No idea of mileage, if you hook a battery up and the odo reads too high for your liking no worries, but I am fairly confident it's well under 150k based on the fact he was a local plumber and only drove it 9-12 years. CL won't let me post without mileage so I put. 150k as a placeholder.
Three tires hold air, one does not. I stripped three lug nuts trying to put the spare on so I'll break them off with a nut splitter next weekend and mount the spare for easier towing unless you buy it before then. Two of the tires were still over 30psi (kind of amazing after sitting that long), one was at 20psi. All three are holding at 45psi so it can be rolled around once the spare is installed. I wouldn't tow it far or on the highway without a flatbed as these are not the best tires.
Great parts truck as a 6.0 donor or candidate for fixing it up for your business, should be a minimum of 8000lb tow rating, possibly 10k. You'll want to pop the plugs out and soak the rings in atf before starting to keep the rings happy. Frame is intact with only typical surface rust and steering worked fine when pulling it to my house with a neighbors bobcat.
He never returned the plates so I dropped them off at the DMV but I wanted the plates/registration sticker to be in the pictures to show it's only sat for 8 years. The plate number is the same as that on the registration card with name/vin on it. I have done literally nothing to the truck save fill up the tires. Will check odo this week but wanted it up on craigslist this weekend so ya'll see it. Feel free to make an offer. Not in a rush to sell but also would like it out of my woods.
