Private 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom available in a gorgeous shared historic 3-floor row house located in the Eckington neighborhood in DC. Street parking is available to those with a vehicle.
The house is just a short walk to two Red line Metro stops, the Metropolitan Branch Trail, Alethia Tanner Park, Lost Generation Brewery, The Bouldering Project, Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, Union Market, and La Cosecha. Within minutes of Bloomingdale, Capitol Hill, Ivy City, Catholic University and Howard University.
The room is on the second floor. It has four large south-facing windows, walk-in closet with plenty of storage, and a private, modern bathroom. The room comfortably fits a queen or full size bed. It also has its own temperature control.
The shared space includes a large open concept main floor with a kitchen, dining room and living room, and a half bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need and is big enough so that multiple housemates can cook simultaneously. The kitchen features a gas stove, oven, microwave, and large refrigerator and freezer.
The house has a yard, deck, and driveway. The deck has a table and grill on the side of the house perfect for lounging or working from when the weather is nice.
Only three people will share this large house. The other housemates are two women in their early 40's and a sweet husky/lab mix dog. They would prefer another female housemate in their 30s/40s. One housemate rents the whole top floor and the other has the other room on the second floor. All rooms are private with their own separate bathrooms.
A lovely husky/lab mix, named Maxi, lives here. Must be dog friendly! If you have an animal, they will have to meet her before we can consider moving forward.
When you respond, please tell us a little about yourself, what you like to do, your preferences in roommates, and a little about your daily routine.
Room will be unfurnished. If you have living room furniture we can work with that.
The room is $1,300/month plus utilities and is available now.
