We are hoping to find a responsible and considerate housemate to move into our beautiful Mount Pleasant rowhouse. The room will be available now.
The room: The room for rent is pictured below and features natural light facing the quiet street and neighborhood of Mount Pleasant.
The house: beautiful restored rowhouse in the historic district of Mount Pleasant. The house has a large kitchen that opens into a large living room and sunroom. The house has a front porch with a porch swing and a backyard outdoor furniture and grill set with lights for nighttime hangouts.
The roommates: We are all in our twenties-thirties pursuing amazingly diverse paths. We love to cook, bike, listen to music. We welcome extroverts as well as introverts.
Transportation: We are two blocks from the D72/D74 buses that run to Dupont Circle and Metro Center; two and half blocks from the D6X/D60 bus-lines that run up and down 16th straight to downtown. And we are three and half blocks from the Columbia Heights metro station with connection to the green and yellow lines.
Neighborhood: you simply cannot live in a better neighborhood. Fifteen-minute walk to the nightlife in Adams Morgan, a ten-minute walk to Columbia Heights Tivoli Square, yet we live on a quiet, tree-lined street where neighbors wave and say hello. Walk to tons of restaurants, or take jogs in the National Zoo or Rock Creek Park (we are three blocks away). We have a Farmer’s Market two blocks away every Saturday.
Logistics: The new tenant will be responsible to pay $1,025.00 in monthly rent. One-month security deposit. Utilities are not included but are often around $70-100/month. At least a one-year commitment is preferred but shorter length is also accepted. Please feel free to reach out, thanks!
