Move-in: October 1st | Flexible lease (ideally 1 year)
We’re looking for a new housemate to join our renovated 3BR/1.5BA row home in Park View! The lease is flexible, though ideally for a year, move in available October 1st.
The House:
Renovated about 6 years ago, our home features:
- Open layout with great natural light
- Hardwood floors throughout
- Modern kitchen (with new appliances) and bathrooms
- Central AC/heat
- Washer/dryer on the first floor
- Front porch and small back porch
- Shared living room, dining room, and kitchen
We're located around the corner from Heat Da Spot and Call Your Mother, on great bus lines, and about an 8–10 minute walk to the Petworth Metro and Giant/Safeway.
The Room:
- Upstairs, faces the front of the house on a relatively quiet one way street--North facing
- Two Large windows, hardwood floors
- Modest closet inside
- Easily fits queen bed, bedside table, dresser, and desk, with extra room leftover--has had a variety of different configurations.
- Ceiling fan
About Us:
We’re two women (she/her, mid/late 20s–early 30s) who value a balance of independence and shared connection. We enjoy cooking, watching TV separately and together, and chatting over coffee. We keep shared spaces clean, compost (currently part of DC’s compost pilot), and host friends on occasion.
We're low-key during the week and respectful of each other’s space, but we also enjoy the kind of shared rhythms and warmth that come with communal living. One housemate has been here for 5+ years and the other is very recent. Our current housemate is moving in with her partner after living here for about 3 years and we're sad to see her go!
About You:
We’re hoping to find a considerate, communicative, and tidy housemate—ideally another woman in her mid to late 20s or 30s—who values both privacy and the joys of living with others. Someone who brings positive energy, respects shared spaces, and is excited to help make the house feel like home. We value inclusivity, kindness, and respect for everyone and are looking for folks who feel the same.

S (she/her): DC native who works in education, loves music, morning crosswords, strong coffee, and yoga (which she also teaches!).
M (she/her): Recently moved to DC for law school. When not reading for school, she enjoys reading for fun, baking shareable treats, watching movies, and riding her bike.
