One room is open in a group house in the Columbia Heights/U St. area with access to just about any place in D.C. and great for a Washington resident seeking the best the city has offer at a reasonable price. The rent is $795/month and the room is available immediately.
The house is just blocks away from the U Street corridor, which has D.C.'s finest bars, restaurants and nightlife for patrons both straight or gay. Downtown is not far away, making any trip to the office or work there easily accessible by Metro, bike or Uber — or even walking if you're willing to take a 40-minute hike. Colleges and universities in D.C. are also accessible: Howard University is blocks away, George Washington University is basically as much walking distance as downtown and Georgetown and American universities are also accessible though other transportation.
Another bonus: The house is a block or two from Meridian Hill Park, where you can enjoy the weather with friends at the end of the work day, take a leisurely walk or get a daily run in as part of your workout.
All in all, the house is a perfect opportunity for a student beginning a new term, a newcomer to Washington looking for a place to start a job, a young professional who wants easy access to D.C. nightlife has to offer, or a long-time resident seeking to ease the burden of rent.

The occupant of the room will use a bathroom near on the second floor room shared with two other housemate; another bathroom downstairs intended for another tenant and general use is also available. The closest Metro stops are Columbia Heights and U Street, which are about equidistant from the house.
Pictured above is the room, the common area and kitchen. The rooms do not come furnished. Current residents are four male housemates ranging in the ages from 20-40s. The house is gay-owned and has gay tenets, so is LGBTQ friendly.
