We live in a big house (more than 4,800 square feet) in a neighborhood in Arlington Va [Ballston]. We are less than a mile to the metro, 15 minute walk (Ballston Metro Stop, Orange &; Silver Line). The Metro bus line F61, A58, F60 and ART 75 comes by our street.
There are 5 bedrooms total (currently 2 guys & 1 girl currently live in the house looking for a 4th). We keep one of the rooms as a guest room.
The first floor is more than 1500 square feet: space, brand new kitchen with new appliances - Bluestar 8-top range, Fisher & Paykel oven/microwave, two sinks – a chef’s dream kitchen. There’s also an outdoor patio with a grill and sitting area.
The room available is on the 2nd floor; 3 bedrooms total, we keep one as a guest bedroom. . . There are 4 full baths, spread over 4 floors. The basement has a bedroom, a large den with shared workout equipment, storage space and a washer and dryer.
We have a robust cable and high speed internet package (HBO & Showtime). There is central air and radiant heat. The basement has a separate central air and forced air unit. We have maid service (every 3 weeks) that cleans all the bathrooms, the kitchen, most of the common space and all the bedrooms; There is lawn service that cuts the grass and maintains the yard. In addition, Terminex comes by quarterly.
The house is part of a cul de sac so there is plenty of street parking and the driveway can accommodate 2 cars.
