We are now able to make available, in this historic-registry home in the center of the City of Falls Church, our fully-furnished East Garden Bedroom. Medium-large truly-historic style bedroom including historic full-queen-sized bed, large closet, dresser, working area and desk, full Wi-Fi, and more. There’s even a very-special characteristic of our East Garden Bedroom. I’ve lived and worked all over this country and around the world; the East Garen Bedroom seems, at least to me, the most restful/calming bedroom I’ve ever encountered, anywhere.
It shares with one other guest here – on the same hallway, with adjacent door, a lovely large cathedral-ceilinged bathroom. We’re on Little Falls Street, which is a quiet wooded street close to everything: East Falls Church Metro Station, walking distance to three groceries, well over a dozen restaurants, parks, the fabulous W&OD walking/bicycle trail, our wonderful City Library, and much, much more.
The East Garden Room is in our large historic home, built in 1847 but, since then, very thoroughly modernized. East Garden Room is 14’ x 11.5’. Plenty of light – it has huge east-facing multiple windows. Totally-controlled-there full AC/Heating System. Even – we added this gem very recently - a historic-style ceiling fan with its own light. We can put a full-FIOS-television system into the bedroom. Entire home is everywhere Wi-Fi.
On the rest of the home, and what comes with it. Very large historic home with interior modernized. Very large living room (when the historic home was built, 170 years ago, what is now our large living room was virtually the home’s total living area, as four rooms). In just that living room, two real/working fireplaces. We also have, in the large expansion of the original farmhouse, the largest/sunbathed kitchen, with its own real/operating fireplace, huge south-facing deck (so it’s ultra-comfortably usable most of the year), with three large outside dining tables and wonderful multi-burner grill, full Maytag washer-drier; a far-infrared sauna, and lots more. We supply linens, towels, and more.
We're on a wooded, quiet street, but super-close to everything: East Falls Church Metro is a 12-minutee walk with three groceries and at least a dozen restaurants, incluing Falls Church's best-rated restaurant for almost 20 years.
We strongly prefer guests who will be with us minimum of four months, and hopefully longer (one guest with us now has been with us since about 2015; several others have spent multi-year periods with us). If you’re in need of lodging for shorter period than four months, please explain your needs and we shall consider your case. We are absolutely not a temporary-visit hotel or motel, but better than both.
Fees for our East Garden Room, for stays of four months and more of one individual: $1,300/month. For reservation, the prospective/agreed guest must provide to us in advance a reservation/security deposit of $1,300 (which is never used as lodging fee, but returned to the guest on departure)
If there are two guests in the East Garden Room, we must ask an additional $50/month, to help us cover the increased utilities.
All guests in the home are required to give us a one-month notice before departure.
Ours is a Covid-Free home, in that the owners and guests are either already fully vaccinated or are scheduled to complete same in the nearest future. So we are inviting to join with us those who have already completed/updated their Covid vaccinations.
