ABOUT THE HOME

We bought this beautiful home located in a safe, quiet neighborhood nested right off of Fairfax County Parkway in June of 2022. We’re located 9 minutes from the nearest metro, are super close to Reston Hospital, and just a hop, skip, and a jump from Reston Town Center, Tysons, Dulles Toll Road/Airport, and George Mason University (GMU).

With excellent curb appeal and an amazing entertaining and outdoor space, the home features a spacious open layout, beautiful hardwood floors throughout, and is equipped with lots of fun tech including the most comfortable couch you’ll ever sit on in your life complete with built in surround sound speakers, a Nespresso machine that makes shots better than a barista, a hydroponic system that grows flowers, herbs, and other plants year-round, an auto-locking deadbolt, and biometric door handles that offer enhanced safety. It’s also home to a board game collection you couldn’t shake a stick at.

ABOUT THE ROOM

Bedroom D - MAWRoomDPics - AVAILABLE SEPT 6 (We can discuss options if you need to move in sooner)

This room overlooks the front of the house and is lightly furnished with a bed/night stands, a gentleman’s chest, black out curtains, a TV, and a trashcan. The current resident clashed with the other household residents and was not a good match for the friendly, respectful, family environment we strive to create here so we have decided it was in everyone’s best interest to part ways. While every attempt is being made to maintain an amicable relationship with this resident until their departure, please be aware that this person may or may not display the same friendly, positive attitude in return.

ABOUT ME/US

• Who We Are - We are young professionals in our mid 20s and 30s. I work remotely.
• Our Social Tendencies - Everyone here gets along very well. Some are more social than others. I try to host game nights and other get-togethers maybe once a month or so (which seems to be less and less these days) but it’s usually pretty quiet outside of that.
• Our Cleanliness Standards - We’re pretty easy going for the most part and try to stay fairly clean. Not a magazine cover clean but definitely tidy though it may vary throughout the year.
• We Like It Cool - We try to keep the house between 67 and 70 degrees (or however cold the AC will allow on extremely hot days).
• There Are Resident Pets -
• Dog - Our dog, Murphy, is amazing and is one of the most well behaved dogs you'll ever meet. He doesn't hardly bark, is very mellow (like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh), doesn't 'beg', gets along with cats, dogs, humans, etc. But he IS very needy so you can’t stop petting him once you start. That’s the rule. And he’s a STRICT enforcer of said rule. So unless you're okay with that being your new life, beware.
• Cats - They're very social, and very, VERY friendly. More dog-like in personality. They would love to escape but we try to keep them inside. You don't need to let them in your room.
• Clients - We dog sit so there are guest dogs in the house often so - MUST LOVE DOGS.
• We Are Welcoming - Our place is your place and you're welcome to use whatever you want as long as you take care of it and put everything back where you found it.
• There Are “Rules” - There are no curfews or anything like that any guests are welcome as long as they are respectful. We're all adults here. That said, we do have a very thorough lease, half of which consists of ‘house rules’ that have proven necessary over the years and that may appear daunting at first glance, but they’re really more of a CYA. As a general rule of thumb, there’s nothing crazy and aren’t really enforced unless dually necessary.
• Others That Live Here - We have been incredibly fortunate to have some of the best housemates one could ask for. When renting to non-family members, we tend to rent to people who are quiet young professionals that are also easy to get along with, and that stay relatively tidy.

We are looking for someone who…

• Needs a year+ lease (but will consider a short term lease under the right circumstances for an added rental fee)
• Will pass a background and credit check - We don’t require spotless backgrounds or squeaky clean credit, however, for your best chance of approval, if there’s anything we should know about, it’s best to disclose what we might find PRIOR to such a check.
• Is a responsible young professional
• Is CLEAN! What you do in your room is fine, but common areas should stay tidy
• Wont eat all of our nom noms (food - we buy our own)
• Needs a FURNISHED home (sorry…there isn't really any room for any more furniture)
• Doesn't mind sharing a bathroom with others
• Won’t scare our neighbors (smoking is fine on the screened-in patio only)
