Looking for a new housemate to move into the basement of our Park View abode. Our much-loved roomie recently moved in with her partner, and we’re hoping to find a good fit to take her spot. The move in date and lease terms are flexible. Happy to discuss and/or prorate accordingly.
About the space: The space you'd be renting includes an unfurnished bedroom, a furnished rec room (as pictured), and a full bathroom. The recessed lighting fixtures, bedroom windows, and warm paint make the space nice and bright. There's a good-sized closet for your clothes in the rec room, and the bathroom is all yours. The washing machine and dryer are in the basement as well. This makes doing laundry super convenient, but you'll need to be okay with your 2 housemates coming downstairs from time to time to do their own.
About the house: The renovated row house has an open layout on the ground floor with high ceilings, recessed lighting fixtures and hard wood floors throughout. The ground floor interior includes a modern kitchen and furnished dining room/living room area. The exterior includes a postage stamp front yard and a fenced in backyard. You'd share the kitchen & exteriors w/2 F roomies and 1 adorable dog. We’re both educated professionals in our 30s and mainly WFH. We've become good friends from living together over the years but still have our own social lives and an easy, drama-free dynamic. One owns the house, in addition to a very sweet and cuddly 50lb dog.
About the neighborhood: Park View’s a fun little neighborhood in NW, DC filled with interesting people and places, including popular coffee shops (Doubles, Harrar), bars and restaurants (Midlands, Hook Hall, Nuvegan, Heat Da Spot) and nearby parks/community gardens (Bruce Monroe, Wangari Gardens, Banneker Rec Center). You can quickly walk to everything in neighboring Columbia Heights, Petworth and U St, including several grocery stores and many shops. We’re within walking distance of the Columbia Heights and Petworth metro stations, numerous bus routes and several bike shares. Street parking is easy w/Zone 1 permit.🤣✌
Looking for someone kind, considerate, and responsible who can pay rent and 1/3 utilities on time every month.
