Currently there are five roommates in the house, including myself. All young, male professionals. In the past roommates have been pretty social. however, it's a pretty big house so rooms are easily quiet and it tends to be very quiet during the day - two of us work remotely.
We're looking for a tenant who is neat, respectful, and is looking for a quality group of guys to live with.
Full House includes:
2 parking spots (both currently taken)
2 washing machines, with one dryer
2 kitchens (one in the basement, one downstairs)
Fully furnished dining room with table for 8, perfect for hosting
Fully furnished living room with working fireplace (we get wood delivered every winter)
Foyer with coat closet
Full furnished back porch with two levels
The Room:
Its on the top floor of the house, with its own kitchenette and ensuite bathroom (the largest bathroom in the house). It also includes a full walk-in closet. I've lived in the room for almost 2.5 years, after spending 2.5 years in a room on the floor below, and have loved it. I can speak it to it in detail.
House is pet negotiable - we generally discuss situations as a house as they come up. However, there is currently a goldendoodle in the house - that roommate would likely have a veto on another dog or pet coming in.
Bit about the neighborhood:
House is situated a few houses down from the intersection of 11th and Kenyon St. It's a five minute walk from the metro, as well as all of the great Columbia Heights retail (restaurants, fast food, Target, LIDL, Giant, etc.). Closer, on 11th ST, the house is a 2 minute walk from fine dining restaurants like Queen's English as well as popular nightlife spots like Wonderland Ballroom.
Apartment is available November 1, year lease minimum, and goes for $1700.
